Laurie Harbour
Laurie Harbour, President and CEO of Harbour Results Inc., has 20 years of experience in strategic planning, benchmarking, operational assessments, lean manufacturing and performance enhancement. Ms. Harbour works closely with automotive and manufacturing companies and their suppliers, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses, identifying existing gaps and risks and developing a tactical transformation to achieve sustainable improvements, ultimately mitigating risk and improving the health of organizations. Ms. Harbour assists companies to develop short and long term strategies, improve their operations, conduct training and proactive supplier development programs that focuses on reducing risks among the supplier base. Laurie visits hundreds of manufacturing plants each year capturing best practices and driving project results.
Ms. Harbour is a regular speaker to companies and forums on numerous topics, including manufacturing flexibility, leadership, cultural transformation, sales and marketing, supplier collaboration, manufacturing and overall business operations improvement. She is regularly quoted in local and national publications as an experienced auto and operational analyst.
Harbour is responsible for the direction of Harbour Results Inc. and it is because of her impact on companies’ progression that makes her suited to continue her role as a leader in the company. She focuses her efforts on business development and serves as an analyst to the automotive industry. Laurie works regularly with chief executive officers and leadership teams to develop their strategies for long term growth and provides benchmarking support to companies as they plan for the future.
Prior to joining Harbour Results, Laurie founded Harbour-Felax Group and was Vice President and company officer at Harbour Consulting. She was involved in numerous consulting projects with global-automotive manufacturers, tier-one suppliers and the defense industry and provided analysis and counsel in operations improvement, product and process development, competitive research and benchmarking. Also, while there, Ms. Harbour was responsible for management of The Harbour Report, the landmark study of labor efficiency for automotive OEMs.
Ms. Harbour earned a BA from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She is the President of Society of Automotive Analysts and is on the board of directors of the Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors (MAPP).
