Craig Carrel, President of Team 1 Plastics, and Jase Bolger, Speaker of the House of Representatives in Michigan, discuss some of the disappointments from the Michigan legislature since Jase has been Speaker of the House. He feels that even though employment has improved the unemployment rate is still to high. In addition, out migration by Michigan residents has slowed but he wants it to move back in to a positive direction. Do you have any disappointments that should be highlighted?

Craig Carrel, President of Team 1 Plastics, and Jase Bolger, Speaker of the House of Representatives in the Great State of Michigan, discuss the improved business environment in Michigan. They discuss that jobs are created by it's citizens and not the state government. Over the last two years they have focused on three key goals.

  1. Tax reform
  2. Spending reform
  3. Regulatory reform

Their efforts have turned a budget deficit into a surplus while paying down debt and building up the state's saving account. Do you agree that the business environment has improved for the better? Feel free to share your experiences of doing business in Michigan.

Craig Carrel recently interviewed Jase Bolger, Speaker of the House of Representatives in the Great State of Michigan. In this first of a series of interviews, Jase gives a brief history of his background and why he got into politics. Jase has a unique view of the economy as a small business owner and has been very active in finding ways to reform and improve the economy in Michigan. The MAPP organization is devoted to the improvement of of plastics processors across the country. Team 1 Plastics has taken advantage of the programs and services offered by the MAPP organization for over ten years, implementing techniques to reduce cost and increase efficiency in our factory.
