Summer Sponsorships in Full Swing
In 1999, with input from all team members, Team 1 Plastics adopted their Championship Dream. This written agreement, similar to a mission statement, entails “how the company lives and breathes as they do business” and includes four core values: Customer Service Excellence, Team Member Success, Freedom to Succeed, and Positive Community Member.
Team 1 holds true to being a Positive Community Member by putting their donations and volunteer efforts toward organizations and events within the local communities of Jackson and Calhoun counties. Donations and volunteer efforts this summer include Swingin’ at the Shell, Run Albion, Black Squirrel Music Festival, Albion’s 4th of July Fireworks, Community Action Walk for Warmth, Play Right Sports Academy, Albion’s Annual Father & Son Picnic, Innovate Albion, Albion Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing, and Kids Free Films at the Bohm Theater.
SWINGING AT THE SHELL
A free concert series is hosted by Swingin’ at the Shell each summer, and is one of the most anticipated community events in Albion during the summer months. Started in 2004 by Caster Cares, the mission of Swingin’ at the Shell is to “provide a variety of family-friendly musical entertainment to the community of Albion and the surrounding area and be good stewards of the Victory Park BandShell.” The free Summer Concert Series is held at 6:00 every Sunday evening at the historic Victory Park Bandshell. With this year’s opening weekend just around the corner on July 23, Swingin’ at the Shell is eager to premier the new look to the Bandshell, after a nearly $100,000 renovation.
