Team 1 Plastics Adds New Forklift to Fleet

Earlier this month, on August 2, Team 1 Plastics had its brand new 2023 Toyota forklift delivered to its facility.  This 3-wheel, all-electric truck has a 3200 lb. capacity and was purchased from Hull Lift Truck in Battle Creek, Michigan.  This new forklift now sits alongside a 3-wheel Crown, making this the second new forklift for the company since 2021.

Team 1 Maintenance Manager Andy Zblewski explained that the new Toyota forklift “replaces a 4-wheel Toyota truck that had reached its economical life; meaning the cost to keep it running exceeded its worth.”  This new machine, along with the Crown forklift purchased in early 2021 will allow uninterrupted warehouse productivity moving forward.  “This was not always the case,” explained Andy.  “The replaced machines were becoming unreliable and the cost of keeping them running was becoming a budget and scheduling issue.”

There is no doubt that the purchase of these new forklifts will allow increased productivity and decrease warehouse costs.  Additionally, both units were purchased from relatively local vendors with whom Team 1 has previously done business; allowing a quick response if problems were to arise.
