Team 1 Plastics Strengthens Community Ties Through Springport Band Sponsorship

At Team 1 Plastics, the company’s Championship Dream serves as its guiding philosophy—similar to a mission or vision statement—but it goes far beyond words on paper. It’s the foundation for how Team 1 operates every day, shaping decisions, relationships, and community involvement. The Championship Dream is built on four key tenets: Customer Service Excellence, Team Member Success, Freedom to Succeed, and Being a Positive Community Member. Each represents a vital piece of what makes Team 1 Plastics a company dedicated not only to excellence in manufacturing but also to the well-being of its people and community.

Being a Positive Community Member means supporting the families and communities that help Team 1 thrive. The company believes in giving back—encouraging volunteerism, continuous learning, and investing in the success of local programs. As Team 1’s philosophy states, “Members of our families or communities will never hear, ‘It’s not our problem.’ Instead, they will hear, ‘We will work together to make a positive difference.” Team 1 Plastics recently demonstrated this commitment through its sponsorship of the Springport Band Boosters, an organization that supports music education and student development in Springport, a neighboring town to Albion, where Team 1 is located.

The Boosters provide vital resources for the Springport Band program—including funding for meals, equipment, uniforms, and travel—ensuring that students can focus on learning, performing, and growing together as a team. This sponsorship is especially meaningful for Andy Zblewski, Team 1 Plastics Maintenance Manager, whose twin daughters, Alex and Audrey Zblewski, are both members of the Springport Band. Supporting this program not only strengthens the community but also highlights the company’s belief in uplifting the families of its own Team Members.

According to Alysa Sanford, President of the Springport Band Boosters, Team 1’s sponsorship is already making a significant impact: “The Team 1 Plastics sponsorship has helped the Springport Band Boosters to provide the Springport Marching Band members meals for the whole week of band camp. That is just the start of the support that band sponsorship funds are able to provide to the Springport Band students. It is because community organizations like Team 1 Plastics and many others that the students of Springport Schools and the Springport Band can learn important life skills like teamwork, dedication, and hard work. Through their involvement in band, students learn to take pride in their work and encourage others to do their best every day. The Springport Band Boosters sincerely thanks Team 1 Plastics for their support.”

Team 1 Plastics is proud to play a role in helping local students develop skills that will serve them for a lifetime—whether in music, school, or beyond. Supporting programs like the Springport Band Boosters reflects what it truly means to live the Championship Dream and to be a Positive Community Member.
