Holiday Happenings at Team 1 Plastics

From Thanksgiving Day until the turn of the New Year, it can be easy to get caught up in the “hustle and bustle” of all things centered around the Holiday Season.  For families and businesses alike, this time of year provides us all opportunities to focus on the things that matter and spend time with those we love.  This year, Team 1 Plastics has kept busy with numerous holiday happenings that have allowed them to give back, express gratitude, and spread joy within their community and place of business.

SPREADING JOY & GRATITUDE

Team 1 Plastics has kept alive their tradition of mailing holiday cards to customers, team members, suppliers, and other key associates.  This tradition was put on hold in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but has been revived this year.  Mailed just before Thanksgiving, the cards are an expression of gratitude for those who provide business, support and trust in Team 1.  The cards include an updated team photo and are hand-signed by the owners and other key team members.

Company “Holiday Happenings” just would not be complete without a little Secret Santa fun!  With 19 Team Members participating, this has been a great way to spread joy around the shop.  Plus, who wouldn’t appreciate a little fun to help them get through the Holiday Season?  Looks like someone must have been “not-so-nice” this year to have received all of that coal on their desk!
(No worries, it’s just chocolate!)

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…in the Customer Service office!
Take a look at all these festive decorations.

As many know, the Grinch typically does not spread joy or gratitude around the holidays.  Despite this, he made a visit to Team 1 on December 13 to surprise a particular Team Member in the Customer Service office.  The Grinch’s old heart must have grown three sizes after walking into the building, as he controlled his urge to steal all the Christmas decorations and Secret Santa gifts.  He did revert to his “grinchy” ways with harmless pranks of confetti poppers on office desks, but redeemed himself when sharing Grinch cookies with the team.  Spreading joy throughout the shop, this surprise visit earned smiles and laughs from many Team Members!

HOLIDAY GIVING & FOCUS ON COMMUNITY

Traditions of giving back lies at the heart of Team 1 Plastics.  Last month, the company made its tenth annual donation to the South Michigan Food Bank.  This month, they also partnered with the Albion American Legion Post 55 to hold a Toys for Tots toy drive; providing toys to the Marine Corps Reserve located in Battle Creek, serving Calhoun County.

Every December Team 1 also gives back to one of their own.  Team Members are given an option to contribute part of their earnings to one struggling Team Member’s family, then the company matches those contributions.  That family receives this gift before Christmas; helping to make their holiday a bit brighter.

Another tradition of giving, going back to 2016, is an annual donation to the Merry Mile.  This drive through light show is located in the neighboring town of Marshall and has been ranked in the top 10 light shows in Michigan!  Another fun holiday tradition for Team 1 is getting to represent their business while walking in the local Albion Aglow Parade and this year the company truck looked great, complete with an inflatable gingerbread man!  Watch a LIVE stream of the parade on the Team 1 Plastics Facebook page HERE.
