Favorite Story / Memory during Time Working at Team 1: Tanisha said that her favorite memory is from the first Team 1 Plastics’ Christmas party that she ever attended. The party was held that year at the Cedar Crest Banquet Centre in Marshall, Michigan. “I really enjoyed it! It was really nice. They had an elegant place, and the company gave out nice prizes, and I won a gift card!”

How has Team 1 helped your Personal and/or Professional Development? Tanisha said that Team 1 has helped with her personal finances. She appreciates the steady income that the work has provided her. Even though she only works part-time, she said that “everything works out pretty fine” for her.

Favorite Aspect of Working at Team 1: It’s the people at Team 1 with whom she works that Tanisha enjoys. “Everyone gets along, and are basically on the same page. We help each other out. The owners are really nice, respectful people. It’s really a great company.” She also appreciates the location of the company. “It’s very convenient for me. It’s right around the corner.”

What do you want to share about your life outside of Team 1? Tanisha described herself as a very hard-working mother who is taking care of her two kids still at home. She said that she has three daughters – ages 27, 13, and a 3-year old – and that her oldest daughter no longer lives with her.

Piece of Advice and/or Encouragement for Future Team 1 Team Members: “I would tell them that Team 1 is a great place to work, and it’s a fair place. They treat everyone fairly” which, she added, is very important.

Random Question: What do you remember most about Kindergarten? Tanisha recalled, “I remember sitting on the circle and listening for when they call your name and then raising your hand.” She said that she also remembers “meeting new friends and standing in line with your hands to your sides.”
