Team 1 Plastics Celebrates Safety Record

Safety First is not just a slogan at Team 1 Plastics. It is ingrained in its culture and routinely celebrated by its Team Members. Such a celebration occurred in the plant on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, as the company officially celebrated the achievement of 5,500 Safety Days — that’s 15 years since having a lost-time accident.

Putting that number in perspective, it was 15 years ago that Texas’ governor George W. Bush defeated Vice President Al Gore in the Presidential election that prominently featured the state of Florida and its recounting of votes. That was the same year when Hillary Rodham Clinton was elected to the United States Senate.

To document the Safety celebration, a commemorate group photograph was taken of all the Team Members. Gary Grigowski and Craig Carrel, owners of Team 1 Plastics, shared some remarks, reminding the Team Members that safety has been a high priority from Day 1 of the company’s existence. They mentioned that this safety record is very special because it reinforces their commitment to Team Member Success. It also is a total team effort and requires everyone to share in the responsibility to ensure that the safety record continues.

Included in the celebration festivities were dinner and a gift for each Team Member.
