Team 1 Plastics Continues ISO/TS Certification
Team 1 Plastics is pleased to announce that it has, once again, been certified by the ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard. An important component of being a state of the art, custom, plastic injection molding company, supplying customers in the automotive industry around the world, is having the framework in place to manage business processes. The ISO/TS standards provide an internationally recognized structure for maintaining consistency of operations with a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement in plastic injection molding services.
According to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), “This International Standard can be used by internal and external parties, including certification bodies, to assess the organization’s ability to meet customer, statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to the product, and the organization’s own requirements.”
Team 1 has been certified to the ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard since 2013. Dave Sanford, Quality Manager for Team 1 Plastics, said, “Successfully passing our most recent three-day ISO/TS 16949:2009 audit demonstrates our ability to continue to grow globally. This certificate also proves to our customers that we are committed to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.”
“ISO/TS 16949 emphasizes the development of a process-oriented quality management system that provides for continual improvement, defect prevention, and reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain,” according to NGA.com. “The goal is to meet customer requirements efficiently and effectively.”
Sanford said that “this certificate represents a major investment by our Team Members and supports our goal of being ‘Your #1 Team in Customer Satisfaction’.”
