Team 1 Plastics Expansion Update
Team 1 Plastics continues to add molding machines in response to the ongoing growth of the automotive industry. In late November 2015, the company received delivery of another new molding machine, a Sumitomo 180-ton electric molding machine. This is the third new production molding machine purchased in the past two months.
To continue to meet future orders, Team 1 Plastics, a plastic injection molding company specializing in automotive parts, has begun an expansion of both its building and production capabilities.
In addition to new machines, progress on the building expansion has also recently begun. The necessary building permits have been obtained from the City of Albion. And the ground has been leveled in anticipation of construction which will increase Team 1 Plastics’ plant by 3,500 square feet. This is the first building expansion in more than 15 years for the company.
The next step in the construction phase is the digging of the footings. This is scheduled to be done during the week of December 7th — just before the Michigan winter sets in.
