Team 1 Plastics Highlighted in Recent Online Press
Team 1 Plastics, a plastic injection molding company for the transportation industry, is dedicated to becoming a recognized leader in the supply of high quality, cost effective, injection molded plastic components. Despite supply shortages in recent years, Team 1 Plastics has stayed focused on growth. This focus on growth has recently earned them notice from two major “voices” in the plastics industry:
Plastics Machinery & Manufacturing and Plastics Business magazine.
In November 2021, Team 1 Plastics published an article to their website titled “New Molding Machine Initiates Growth.” This article highlighted the company’s “new phase of growth with the addition of its newest molding machine; a 450-ton Sodick Horizontal Injection Molding Machine.” Nearly one month later, and much to their surprise, Team 1 was contacted by Karen Hanna, Senior Staff Reporter with Plastics Machinery & Manufacturing (PMM). Covering the U.S. plastics industry, PMM runs a monthly feature titled “Problem Solved,” showcasing “how a company has used a particular technology – to solve particular business problems.” Team 1’s Operations Manager Dave Sanford met with Karen to discuss the new 450-ton Sodick molding machine and any problems it had solved for the company. From that meeting, PMM published three online articles in the month of February 2022. Those three articles are highlighted below.
“Sodick press provides precision for Tier 2 supplier”

Additionally, Team 1 Plastics Engineering Manager Dave Seedorf recently participated in a Q&A with Plastics Business magazine titled “Automation in Plastics Molding Plants.” Published on February 24, 2022, this Q&A aimed “to provide some insight into automated production opportunities, [with] four injection molding professionals [sharing] their companies’ goals, decision-making processes and application knowledge.”
