In 1999, with input from all team members, Team 1 Plastics adopted their Championship Dream. This written agreement, similar to a mission statement, entails “how the company lives and breathes as they do business” and includes four core values: Customer Service Excellence, Team Member Success, Freedom to Succeed, and Positive Community Member. Team 1 holds true to being a Positive Community Member by putting their donations and volunteer efforts toward organizations and events within the local communities of Jackson and Calhoun counties.

Starr Commonwealth is a local nonprofit started in Albion over a century ago, with a mission to “lead with courage to create positive experiences so that all children, families, and communities can flourish.”  Team 1 Plastics has been a donor to this nonprofit organization for more than 15 years.  Earlier this month, Starr Commonwealth held its 7th Annual Night of Starrs Event, described by the organization as “an evening of celebration for champions of children. Through programming, receptions, and student exhibits, Starr is proud to honor Stand Tall award recipients, as well as introduce new friends to the organization and provide our supporters opportunities to donate to our mission.”  Recognized as a Bronze Sponsor for this year’s event, Team 1 Plastics is proud to continue this long-lasting partnership with Starr Commonwealth and will continue to support organizations that work to make Albion and our surrounding communities a better place to live and work.
