Red Shirt Fridays – A Lasting Tradition

In 2019, Craig and Marcus started a weekly tradition at Team 1 known as “Red Shirt Fridays” to honor Craig’s friend who had been stationed overseas. “Red Shirt Fridays” has been a lasting tradition encouraging team members to wear their red Team 1 shirts each Friday.  On May 13, 2019, Craig’s friend, Staff Sergeant Geoffrey Martin, presented Team 1 with a commemorative flag and certificate in appreciation of this support.  The presentation of that flag and can be seen below, along with a slideshow of Red Shirt Friday participation since 2019.

A Veteran’s Burden

Additionally, we must acknowledge the sacrifices made by those who were fortunate to return from their deployments safely.  The hard realities of a veteran can include those of loss, trauma, and injury.  We cannot acknowledge our veterans without also remembering the great burdens they may bare in silence.
