Team 1 Plastics Expands Capacity with Fourth 450-Ton Molding Machine!
Team 1 Plastics, a leading plastic injection molding company for the transportation industry, has once again increased its production capabilities with the addition of a fourth 450-Ton Horizontal Injection Molding Machine from Sodick. This latest addition marks another significant milestone in the company’s continuous growth and commitment to excellence.
The new machine, delivered on March 10, 2025, joins the ranks of three other 450-Ton Sodick machines acquired in recent years, with the third machine arriving in November 2023, the second in January 2023, and the first in September 2021. In a previous article covering the arrival of the third 450-Ton machine, we highlighted how each machine has contributed to Team 1’s growth. The first 450-Ton machine, installed in 2021, eliminated the need for outsourcing larger tonnage parts and provided backup capacity. The subsequent machines have continued to enhance our production capabilities, ensuring we meet the growing demands of our customers and the industry.
- Third 450-ton Sodick – Nov. 2023
- Second 450-ton Sodick – Jan. 2023
- First 450-ton Sodick – Sept. 2021
Co-owners Craig Carrel and Gary Grigowski expressed their enthusiasm about the latest addition: “We have seen significant growth in that tonnage class, with all of our most recent purchases being 450T Sodick’s. We continue to see opportunities and may need to purchase another by year-end for potential other work to be won.” Plant Manager Dave Sanford provided further insights into the necessity of the new machine: “The newest one coming in is our fourth 450T Sodick machine. It is required for additional business growth that we have already won, and is slated to start production in September of 2025.”
