So Much to Celebrate at Team 1 Plastics Open Book Meeting
On November 17, Team 1 Plastics gathered in their warehouse facility in Albion, Michigan for their annual Open Book Meeting. In years past, this meeting has typically been held in-person during the 4th Quarter, having all Team Members in attendance. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual meeting has been held virtually since 2020. “It is great that we are able to finally have everyone together for this meeting in a safe manner,” expressed Team 1’s Co-owners Craig Carrel and Gary Grigowski, during the meeting last week.
Team 1’s annual Open Book Meetings “include important topics we want to share with all Team Members, an update on the current state of the business including financials, and a look ahead into the following year,” explains Human Resources Manager Rob Clothier. Additionally, these meetings give an opportunity to celebrate birthdays that occurred during the month and recognize Team Member service anniversaries.
BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, & SALES, OH MY!
Team 1 Plastics was thankful for the opportunity to finally be together for this annual meeting once again, but the company was equally excited to celebrate other successes: Team Member birthdays and service anniversaries, their 35th Anniversary in business, and an optimistic sales forecast for 2023. According to Team 1 Plastics Sales Development Managers Dave Biondo and Todd Bowen, “we expect strong sales for 2023 with the launch of new customer programs and hopefully stabilized supply chain issues.”
December 1, 2022 will mark 35 years in business for Team 1 Plastics. This was recognized during the Open Book Meeting with a video titled “35th Anniversary: A Look Back at Team 1 Plastics.” This updated history video got a few laughs; sharing photos of long-standing employees from their younger years. The milestone anniversary was also recognized when all Team Members in attendance rededicating themselves to their core principles known as the Championship Dream, signing a commemorative document and banner.
Team Member service anniversaries and November birthdays were also recognized during the Open Book Meeting. Six Team Members with birthdays in November were able to take their “birthday spins.” With each spin, the Team Member chooses one of the colored ping pong balls and spins the wheel. Prizes on the birthday wheel range from $10 to 8 hours of paid time off.
In 2022, there were 13 Team Members that reached a service anniversary during the year.
Thank you to each of you for sticking with the company through thick and thin!
We could not do it without the hard work and dedication from our Team Members!
