Team 1 Plastics Unveils Fully Renovated Main Conference Room

At Team 1 Plastics, continuous improvement extends beyond our manufacturing processes. It also means creating spaces that support collaboration, communication, and the experience of everyone who walks through our doors.

Leading the conference room renovation project was Director of IT and Customer Experience Josh Nye, along with Customer Service Representatives Sandy Bunker and Tasha Pritchard. Together, the team coordinated the planning, technology upgrades, furnishings, and finishing details that transformed the company’s primary meeting space into a modern, professional environment.

YEARS IN THE MAKING

The main conference room was added during Team 1 Plastics’ 2016 expansion. While the space served the company well, leadership had long hoped to give it a modern refresh. “We added the conference room during our last expansion in 2016, but we used our original furniture to outfit that space,” explained Co-owners, President, Craig Carrel and Vice President, Gary Grigowski. “We have always wanted to upgrade it and with the major plant expansion, it was the perfect opportunity to use that to upgrade the conference room as well.”

According to Josh, the conference room no longer reflected the company’s vision for its primary meeting space. “The room was simply outdated and no longer represented the look and feel we wanted for our main conference room,” said Josh. “We wanted to make better use of the room and create a modern, comfortable, and professional environment for both employees and visitors.”

A COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION

The renovation touched nearly every part of the room. New carpet, updated walls and paint, motorized window blinds, and a new door gave the space a fresh look. All furniture was replaced, including a new conference table, chairs, and buffet. A large 3D Team 1 Plastics logo was added as a finishing touch, creating a focal point that ties the room together. “I think I am most proud of how everything came together as a complete space,” said Josh. “It wasn’t just a technology upgrade or a furniture replacement. The entire room was transformed.”

The updates extended beyond the room’s appearance. As Teams meetings have become a regular part of business operations, technology upgrades were also a key component of the project. The conference room now features a speaker-tracking camera system and upgraded audio equipment. “The new camera’s ability to automatically frame individual speakers makes remote participants feel more connected to the people in the room,” Josh explained. “Combined with the new soundbar, it should create a much better experience for both in-person and remote participants.”

READY FOR THE FUTURE

The renovated conference room provides a modern environment for employee meetings, customer visits, vendor discussions, and collaborative planning sessions. “My personal favorite is the large 3D company logo on the wall,” said Josh. “It really stands out in the space and is a great finishing touch that brings the whole room together.” Leadership is equally pleased with the results. “Josh has led the team, along with Sandy and Tasha, and the results are stellar,” said Craig and Gary. “We are very pleased with the conference room, upgrading to a much more modern feel with the latest technology.” As Team 1 Plastics continues to grow, the renovated conference room reflects the company’s commitment to investing in its people, technology, and the spaces that bring them together.
