Team 1 Plastics Recognized by Veterans’ Motorcycle Group
David Acker, Active Reservist Gunnery Sergeant, visited Team 1 Plastics on Friday, September 13, 2019, to convey his appreciation for the financial donation that the company had made to the Veterans’ support group, One of Many Veterans VMC. Acker is the founder and President of One of Many, a motorcycle club comprised of members from all branches of the United States Military.
According to its Facebook page, One of Many raises funds for veterans through a variety of activities such as motorcycle rides, pancake breakfasts, and an annual Veterans Day party. This year’s party is scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2019, and will be held at SMC (Survivor’s Motorcycle Club), 3230 N. East Street in Lansing, Michigan. (Details about the event can be found on One of Many’s Facebook Event page.)
100% of all funds raised are used to help veterans in need, assisting in practical ways, such as buying groceries, purchasing car tires so a veteran can get back and forth to work, supplying a furnace, and providing and stacking firewood.
The organization also supports veterans through its brotherhood. In an interview with a local radio station, members of One of Many shared how they are always available to veterans who just need someone to talk to that understands. They emphasized that veterans need one another and that the motorcycle group helps fulfill that need.
Team 1 Plastics, a plastic injection molding company for the mobility industry, is pleased to be able to financially support One of Many and thanks its members for their service to the country.
