Team 1 Plastics’ Tradition of Giving Continues
During December 2019, Team 1 Plastics, a plastic injection molding company for the mobility industry, continued two annual holiday season traditions of giving.
One of these traditions is giving to a local food bank as an expression of their appreciation to their customers. Team 1 Plastics donated a percentage of its annual sales to the South Michigan Food Bank in the name of each of its customers to honor them and thank them for doing business with Team 1.
Team 1 Plastics believes in the mission of the Food Bank to feed hungry people in its community. According to the Food Bank, a “one-dollar donation provides six meals throughout the South Michigan Food Bank’s eight-county service area.” In Calhoun County – where Team 1 Plastics is located – “19,080 individuals are struggling to provide meals for themselves and their families.” During 2019, the South Michigan Food Bank, in collaboration with local pantries and its community partners, distributed 7.1 million meals.
The second tradition, continued in 2019, is giving to a local family in need. Each year, the company’s Team Members are encouraged to donate part of their salaries to a local family in need. The Team Members’ generous gifts are doubled because Team 1 Plastics matches each donation.
Giving is a key component in Team 1’s Championship Dream – the document by which the company lives and breathes as it conducts its business.
